About the film
By repeatedly drawing, erasing and redrawing charcoal on a single sheet of paper, the animation journeys through the family portraits orchestrated by grandma throughout her life. Each frame leaves a faint charcoal residue on the paper. Once a frame is erased, it cannot be restored, much like life itself. Eventually, the film unfolds into a reflection on the end of life and the possibilities that may follow.
